Prof. Dr. Michael Hüther has been Director of the German Economic Institute since 2004. He studied economics and history at Justus-Liebig University, later serving as chief economist at DekaBank and Honorary Professor at EBS Business School. He also chairs TÜV Rheinland AG and has been a Gerda Henkel Adjunct Professor at Stanford University multiple times.
