Adamantios N. Papadopoulos was born in Orestiada in 1970. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the National Technical University of Athens and holds a Master’s Degree from the Democritus University of Thrace in “Environmental Policy and Integrated Rural Development.”

Since 1996, he has been professionally active in the field of mechanical engineering studies and projects, founding the technical firm A.P. Energy, with significant contributions to public works, industrial installations, and energy infrastructure. Having implemented numerous renewable energy projects and environmental applications, he has consistently connected his scientific background with practical implementation, serving the development and modernization of the region.

At the same time, he served the Technical Chamber of Greece in positions of responsibility within standing committees and on the Administrative Committee of TEE Thrace, where he was elected Secretary General (2015–2021). In this capacity, he highlighted issues concerning Northern Evros, energy, industry, and professional support for engineers.

In local government, he was elected Municipal Councillor of Orestiada in 2019 and, with the trust of the citizens, assumed office as Mayor of Orestiada in 2023. With a vision for Orestiada’s dynamic presence in the future, he combines his scientific expertise, professional experience, and deep love for his homeland, serving the citizens with responsibility and determination.
