Karolos Alkalai is the President of the Board of Directors and General Manager of Nea Tileorasi S.A. (Star Channel), a position he has held since 2001. During his 31-year tenure at the station, he has also served as Deputy General Manager (1999–2001) and Commercial Director (1995–1999).

His extensive career in the Greek media industry includes tenures as Commercial Director at Skai TV (1994–1995) and Media Director at Olympic DDB Advertising (1988–1994). He began his professional journey in scientific research at the National Technical University of Athens (1986–1988) and previously as a Research Engineer at Métraflu in France (1982–1984).

Mr. Alkalai holds a PhD (Docteur Ingénieur) in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (1983), a DEA from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (1981) and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (1980).

Beyond his role at Star Channel, he serves as Vice-President of the BoD at Digea S.A., President of the BoD at Tileoptika Dikaiomata S.A., and is a Board Member of EITISEE, the National Broadcasters’ Association.
